The book shows the rise of China away from cheap labor to manufacturing super power through the lens of the rise of Apple to become the most valuable company of it’s time. Explaining contract manufacturing and why Apple is so different. The Rise of Foxcon and their different mindset. How in all of this Apple made its biggest threat in China by supporting and teaching them and how they are now stuck in China for the foreseeable future. Why India can’t become a second China or why their can’t be a second China full stop. And just the scale of operations and investments lead by Apple into China which is more money in a year the then marshal plan in today’s money.
