Istanbul has to be the pet friendliest city I have ever been to. Everywhere you look there are cats. They lie on the pavements or on chairs, stairs, roofs. I have even seen a cat lie on the Bonnet of a parked car.
The cats also get feed by the locals. So in lots of places you see cut up plastic bottles for them to drink from or some of them are filled with dry cat food. The cats don’t really care about anything they are more or less fearless. It’s like they know that the people of Istanbul want harm them. The locals don’t really pay them any attention they just let them be. They live in perfect harmony in the City of cute. 🐱
